Note about Riva TNT/TNT2/GeForce video cards :
The NVidia Detonator driver seems to have a bug : the black is sometime replaced by grays ! So, if you have a strange fog on your screen when you are using WinStars, try to download and install the updated driver for your video card from the manufacturer.

WinStars version 1.031 R0. The problem of orientation of images obtained by the DSS function has been corrected. Planetarium mode displays the stars as well as the planets of the solar system. Outlining of the constellations has been improved. The display has new graphical effects (gradual disappearance of lines depending on zoom, ability to ajust the height of landscapes, new star display...)

WinStars version 1.030 R0. The program contains more than 300 asteroids. It's possible to change the landscape (see the download section). The program represents the colors of the stars according to their B-V color index. WinStars is compatible with Seti@Home.
